This section describes how to set the virtualization switch function.
Beforehand set the information to login to the Ethernet port for virtualization control by the "Input login information" dialog.
Note
This feature is not available to VS900 Model 200.
Select a virtualization switch in the Maintenance window, then click <Set virtualization function>.
Alternatively, select the virtualization switch, then select [Operation] - [Set virtualization function].
In the "Set virtualization function" dialog box, enter the fields as described below.
Information on "Setting of virtualization function of this switch" and "Setting of virtualization function of other switch", "Setting of VSC Manager", and "Setting of port number" are input by " Set the virtualization function" dialog.
Obtain the virtualization function settings of the redundancy switch of the selected virtualization switch (local switch).
Virtualization switch number of the selected virtualization switch (this switch).
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
Only integers between 1 and 128 can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
Shared ID of the selected virtualization switch (this switch).
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
Either 1 or 2 can be entered. This ID has an exclusion relationship with the redundancy switch shared ID (i.e., if the shared ID of the local switch is set to 1, then the shared ID of the redundancy switch will be changed to 2).
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
IP address of Ethernet port A0 side for virtualization control of the selected virtualization switch (this switch).
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
The value must be IPv4-compliant - IPv6-compliant addresses cannot be entered. Only numbers and periods can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
IP address of Ethernet port A1 side for virtualization control of the selected virtualization switch (this switch).
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
The value must be IPv4-compliant - IPv6-compliant addresses cannot be entered. Only numbers and periods can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
Virtualization switch number of the redundancy destination (redundancy switch) of the selected virtualization switch.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
Only integers between 1 and 128 can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
Shared ID of the redundancy destination (redundancy switch) of the selected virtualization switch.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
Either 1 or 2 can be entered. This ID has an exclusion relationship with the local switch shared ID (i.e., if the shared ID of the redundancy switch is set to 1, then the shared ID of the local switch will be changed to 2).
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
IP address of Ethernet port A0 side for virtualization control of the redundancy destination (redundancy switch) of the selected virtualization switch.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
The value must be IPv4-compliant - IPv6-compliant addresses cannot be entered. Only numbers and periods can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
IP address of Ethernet port A1 side for virtualization control of the redundancy destination (redundancy switch) of the selected virtualization switch.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
The value must be IPv4-compliant - IPv6-compliant addresses cannot be entered. Only numbers and periods can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
Select this item if the operations management server is in a cluster system.
This item will be automatically selected if two IP addresses were set for the operations management server.
IP address of the first VSC Manager.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
The value must be IPv4-compliant - IPv6-compliant addresses cannot be entered. Only numbers and periods can be entered.
IP address of the second VSC Manager.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
The value must be IPv4-compliant - IPv6-compliant addresses cannot be entered. Only numbers and periods can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if "Set a cluster" has been selected.
Port number for communication between the VSC Manager of the selected virtualization switch (local switch) and VSC Engines - the default value is 7420.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
Only integers between 0 and 65535 can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
Port number for communication between the redundant VSC Engines of the selected virtualization switch (local switch) - the default value is 7422.
The current assigned value (if any) will automatically be displayed.
Only integers between 0 and 65535 can be entered.
This item will be enabled only if the status of the selected virtualization switch is "Stopped".
Port number for communication within the VSC Engine of the selected virtualization switch (local switch) - the default value is 7423
