This section explains how to release virtual enclosures from copy security groups.
Point
When releasing virtual enclosures from a copy security group, make sure that ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager copies are not being performed on the virtual disks in the virtual enclosures to be released.
Note
Virtual enclosures cannot be released from the copy security group if ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager copies are being performed on the virtual disks in the virtual enclosures to be released. Release the virtual enclosures from the copy security group after the copies have finished.
Open the [Release Virtual Enclosure] dialog box using either of the following methods:
Right-click on the copy security group (where the virtual enclosures are to be released) in the Composition Data tree area, and then select [Release Virtual Enclosure].
Select the copy security group (where the virtual enclosures are to be released) in the Composition Data tree area, and then select [Operation] - [Copy Security Group] - [Release Virtual Enclosure].
The [Release Virtual Enclosure] dialog box is displayed.
Select the virtual enclosure or enclosures you want to release, and click the [OK] button.
You can select all virtual enclosures by clicking the [Select All] button. If all virtual enclosures are selected, you can deselect all virtual enclosures by clicking the [Clear] button.
The [Release Virtual Enclosure] confirmation dialog box is displayed. Click the [OK] button.
The results of releasing the virtual enclosures from the copy security group are displayed in the [Release Virtual Enclosure] message dialog box. Click the [Close] button.
Use the "View and Create" window to check that the virtual enclosures have been released from the specified copy security group.
