There are two types of hardware information, depending on inventory collection: "Hardware Details" acquired and "lease contract information" to be added to hardware information.
For lease contract information, please refer to "Lease Management Function".
Hardware information can be collected in two different ways: independent collection from registry information, and collection using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
To collect information on Windows(R) 98, or Windows NT(R), using WMI, please download "Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) SDK 1.5 (Windows 95/98/NT 4.0)" from Microsoft Web site and install it on the PC with "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol CT".
The Hardware Information in the "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol Main Menu" is displayed as follows:
For detailed hardware information, Inventory information that can be collected and items that can be checked vary with different operating systems (OS) used. Hardware information that can be acquired is shown in the table below:

If the DHCP server does not exist, use the private IP address that is automatically obtained, or the value of TCP/IP set in user information. The DHCP server is obtained while DHCP is being operated.
On Windows NT(R), Windows(R) 2000, Windows(R) XP or Windows Server(R) 2003, the following hardware information cannot be obtained in inventory collection in agent mode.
The screensaver set by a user on the "Screen properties" cannot be collected. Collect the following screensavers that are preset by the operating system to display at the time of logon.

Network drive information cannot be collected.
It can be collected when distributing shared folder belonged to PCs on CT domain in network drivers.
