A.6.5 Degradation

mark1The search will stop for several seconds when the search server fails due to the hardware fault. How to avoid this situation?

The auto recovery by degradation will be run when the hardware error occurs.

The degradation is a function that distributes data from the fault search server to the other servers when the error occurs. However, the data cannot be searched and updated (add, update, delete data) during the degradation. An operation can continue after the degradation is complete.

The degradation due to the hardware fault cannot be avoided.

The general operation of the degradation is as follows:

For both cases, if the failover operation by alternative servers is operated, switch to the alternative servers at first.
The degradation will be started if the system fails to switch to the alternative servers.

Refer to Failover Function for Search Servers in the Operator's Guide for more information on the failover operations for degradation and alternative servers.
