A.4.3 Environment

Is it necessary to run an application that uses the Shunsaku API in the same machine where Shunsaku has been installed?

The application and Shunsaku can be located in the different machine.
The installer is provided and the library (Shunsaku API) can be selected and set by using the custom installation.
Refer to the Installation Guide for more information.

If the Internet is used, locate Shunsaku, application server, and database server at the intranet network to prevent the data from the external illegal access.

In addition, add the third network called DMZ in the firewall. The illegal access can be prevented by setting a web server for public information into that network. Then put the web server under the firewall management. For the access that exceeds the firewall, use the network via the application server. Use the encryption such as SSL to prevent the data from data leakage on the network.
