A.4.2 Development Environment

What is the environment that can be used for developing Shunsaku?

There is no special rule for the development environment.

• For Java API

  One of the following software is necessary (*1):

  • The basic software is Solaris(TM) 10 operating system
    • Java2 SDK 1.4.2_07 or the versions after
    • Java2 Runtime Environment 1.4.2_07 or the versions after
  • The basic software is Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (v.4 for x86) or Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES (v.4 for x86)
    • Java2 SDK 1.4.2_08 or the versions after
    • Java2 Runtime Environment 1.4.2_08 or the versions after
  • Other basic software
    • Java2 SDK 1.3 or the versions after
    • Java2 Runtime Environment 1.3 or the versions after

  *1) Cannot operate with the JDK or JRE 64 bits version.

  If Studio is used as integrated development environment, the Java2 SDK will be attached.

• For .NET API

  One of the following software is necessary.

  • Microsoft(R) .NET Framework 1.1 SDK
  • Microsoft(R) .NET Framework 2.0 SDK

  If Visual Studio is used as integrated development environment, the .NET Framework SDK will be attached.

• For C API

  

  • Sun WorkShop Compiler C 4.2 or the versions after, or Fujitsu C Compiler 4.0

  The above compilers are the component names built into the product.
  Refer to the Installation Guide for more information on the products.

  

  • gcc and other related packages (gdb debugger, etc.)

  Only the compilers provided in operating system product are guaranteed.

  

  Microsoft(R) Visual C++(R) Version 6.0 or the versions after
