3.5.7 Core File

The core file might be requested when the cause of the process down cannot be identified by the core stack trace.

If the core file is necessary, collect the core file under the path specified at the CoreFileFolder in the environment file that has the same name as displayed at the last line of an error message.

Example: example of the message (for director)

shn02013u : Core file has been obtained. Core file name is core_15928.040831.054704. (director) [shund1]
Refer to Messages for more information on the messages.

cocore Tool

If the xcrash package is installed, the user will be able to compress and collect a core file and the file that is necessary for analyzing a core file by using cocore tool.

[Collecting Core File]

  1. Start the cocore tool.
    /opt/xcrash/cocore core file name (absolute path)

  2. Input the given file name when inquiring message on the compress file name comes out.
