Chapter 1 Overview of Troubleshooting |
This section explains the types of problems that may occur in Shunsaku.
A fault is detected and an error message is output.
A state where an actual processing result is abnormal even though the returned value indicated that processing was terminated normally.
A state where a Shunsaku process cannot be continued and has not terminated normally. An error message is output.
A state where no result is returned in time because of an error or internal inconsistency. It is necessary to check for the cause carefully because it might be a performance problem.
A state where a process has terminated normally but takes too long.
Error messages are output to the following destinations:
- The system log (syslog) or event log.
- A command's return value.
- A Shunsaku API return value.
The following processes are performed if a process down occurs during failover operations:
Operations can continue without interruption even if a problem occurs during failover operations. However, it is recommended to consider the impact of the problem on performance and to restore the search server as soon as possible to the state before degradation.
Refer to HA Functions in the Operator's Guide for more information on failover functions.
