4.1.2 Under Windows

This section describes the installation procedure for a Windows application server.

The .NET API environment must be installed if the .NET API is used.

mark1Installing Shunsaku API

  1. Start the Shunsaku install program.

    1. Insert the CD-ROM.

      Insert the Shunsaku CD-ROM in the disk drive.

    2. Execute the install program.

      When the CD-ROM is inserted, the install menu is displayed. Click the Install button.
      If the install menu is not displayed, start the CD-ROM "MENU" (or MENU.EXE).

  2. In the Welcome dialog, click the Next button.

  3. In the Installation type selection dialog, select Typical, then click the Next button.

  4. In the Confirm Setup Information dialog, check the settings displayed

  5. In the Choose Destination Location dialog, specify the Destination Folder, then click the Next button.

  6. If the settings shown in the Installation Confirmation dialog are correct, click the Install button.

    The installation process will start.

    If the Cancel button is clicked during installation to stop the install process, the installation folder may remain. Delete this folder if it is no longer required.

  7. After the installation and setup completes, the Complete dialog will be displayed. Check the Save installation log. checkbox to save the installation settings, then click the Finish button.

    The settings will be saved in a file called 'setup.log' under the installation directory.

  8. In the Restarting Windows dialog, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now, then click the OK button.

    Using installer to add the path name to the following system environment variables.

    *1) These system environment variables are added only when the API function is installed.

    If system environment variable setup fails during installation, the message is output as follows:

    The following path has not been set in System variables PATH.
    Set this path manually when the installation is complete.
    
    C:\Program Files\Interstage Shunsaku\Shunsaku\bin

    Before using the system, set the system environment variable PATH using the following procedure.

    For Windows 2000:

    1. Click Control Panel, System, then the Details tab, and click the Environment variables button.

    2. Delete unnecessary paths from the system environment variables that fail to be added, then add the paths specifying in the table to the system environment variable.

    3. Restart the system.

    For Windows Server 2003:

    1. Click Control Panel, System, then 'Detailed setup', and click the Environment variables button.

    2. Delete unnecessary paths from the system environment variables that fail to be added, then add the paths specifying in the table to the system environment variable.

    3. Restart the system.

mark1Installing .NET API Environment

After installing Microsoft .NET Framework and Shunsaku API function, follow the procedure below to register Shunsaku API assembly (Fujitsu.Shunsaku.dll) and Shunsaku API publisher policy assembly (policy.8.0.Fujitsu.Shunsaku.dll) to the global assembly cache (hereafter abbreviated as GAC).

If Shunsaku API is installed, Shunsaku API assembly and Shunsaku API publisher policy assembly are located at the following directory.

Shunsaku installation folder\Shunsaku\lib

Use the explorer to display GAC, then drag and drop Shunsaku API assembly and Shunsaku API publisher policy assembly.

GAC is located in the following directory:

Operating system installation folder\assembly
