4.1.1 Under Solaris

This section describes the installation procedure for a Solaris application server.

The following two installation methods are available:

A superuser must perform the installation.

The procedure for installing Shunsaku APIs from the GUI is explained below.

The procedure for installing the Shunsaku APIs is the same as that described in 'Installation from the GUI' under 3.3.1 Shunsaku Installation, except for step 4.

Replace step 4 with the following:

In the Choose functions to install dialog, select the API function, and click the Next button.

mark1Installation without the GUI

The installation procedure when the GUI is not used is explained below.

The procedure for installing the Shunsaku APIs is the same as that described in 'Installation without the GUI' under 3.3.1 Shunsaku Installation, except for step 4.

Replace step 4 with the following:

Enter the number corresponding to the API function following with <RETURN> at the 'Please select functions' prompt.
