This chapter explains how to perform backup and restore of SQL Server databases by employing the backup management function or the replication management function of AdvancedCopy Manager.

For backup operations for SQL Server databases in a Storage Cluster environment, Advanced Copy cannot be executed if TFOVs that belong to a TFO group of an Active-Active configuration are specified. For information on how to execute Advanced Copy that specifies TFOVs that belong to a TFO group of an Active-Standby configuration, refer to "Chapter 12 Storage Cluster Continuous Copy Function".
