Normally, it is unnecessary to manually start services of AdvancedCopy Manager, because they are automatically started when the system is started.
However, you must manually start a service if:
The startup of the service has failed for some reason.
The service has been intentionally stopped.
To manually start the services, perform the following procedure.
Note
Be sure the AdvancedCopy Manager cluster service (application resource) is started from the failover cluster manager. Do not start it from the Windows services screen.
If a resource in a cluster stops for some reason, you must take the steps described above to restart it.
Do not change the startup type of AdvancedCopy Manager as a resource in a cluster to "Automatic".
How to Start Services on the Management Server
When the Management Server is not used for a cluster operation
Start the ETERNUS SF Manager services.
From the Windows services screen, start the following four services in the order shown below.
ETERNUS SF Manager Apache Service
ETERNUS SF Manager Tomcat Service
ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Optimization Option (Only if not already started)
AdvancedCopy Manager COM Service (Only if not already started)
To use the SNMP Trap function and the ETERNUS SF SNMP Trap service, start the ETERNUS SF SNMP Trap service from the Windows services screen.
To use the ETERNUS VASA Provider function, start the ETERNUS Information Provider service from the Windows services screen.
When the Management Server is used for a cluster operation
Start the ETERNUS SF Manager services.
Use the Failover Cluster Manager to start the transactions of ETERNUS SF Manager.
To use the SNMP Trap function and the ETERNUS SF SNMP Trap service, start the ETERNUS SF SNMP Trap service from the Windows services screen.
How to Start Services on the Managed Server
When the Managed Server is not used for a cluster operation
Start the AdvancedCopy Manager COM service from the Windows services screen.
When the Managed Server is used for a cluster operation
Use the failover cluster manager to start the business server where AdvancedCopy Manager's agent is installed.
