9.5.2 Installation Steps

The following is a description of the procedure to install Storage Cluster Controller.

Install in the following steps:

1. Setting up Device to Be Monitored

2. Enabling Monitoring Function of Storage Cluster Controller

3. Restarting Agent

4. Checking Monitored Status

Setting up Device to Be Monitored

Configure in the TFOConfig.ini file the information for a monitored ETERNUS Disk storage system.

Refer to "A.12 TFOConfig.ini Parameter" for the configuration method.

Refer to "Upper Limit of Monitoring Function of Storage Cluster Controller" in the Installation and Setup Guide for the monitoring conditions of the Storage Cluster Controller.

Enabling Monitoring Function of Storage Cluster Controller

Edit the Correlation.ini file to enable the monitoring function of Storage Cluster Controller.

Refer to "A.6 Correlation.ini Parameter" for the configuration method.

Restarting Agent

To reflect settings, restart agent.

Checking Monitored Status

Use the agtpatrol command to check the status of a monitored ETERNUS Disk storage system.

If no entry of a monitored ETERNUS Disk storage system is output in the command execution result, refer to NOTE in agtpatrol command.
