Using the Reporting function center users can be charged according to his (her) usage. To use the Reporting function, preparation is required in accordance with the operational environment. This section describes specific uses of the Reporting function including design, setup, operation and maintenance to charge fees.
The flow for creating an invoice is as follows:
Design
Define charging method and report information retention period.
Setup
The content of setup is as follows:
Register the ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Standard Edition license.
Set up a policy file based on the report information retention period.
Activate periodic command execution in Web Console so that report information can be collected and a report can be created, periodically.
Refer to "Setup from Web Console" in "8.3.2.3 Setup Periodic Command Execution" for information on how to activate the Reporting function.
Create an accounting application.
Operation
Make an invoice using an accounting application based on a monthly created report.
Backup/Restore
Back up the information stack file periodically as required.
