The Management Server processes SNMP Traps according to the support levels of the mechanism for devices, as described below.
Server node agent
SNMP Traps are decoded.
Support levels A, B, and E
SNMP Traps are decoded. Incidentally, the only SNMP Traps decoded are those for which event display and linkage are required.

Note
For devices that support automatic updates of the device component status, this product acquires the device status and the device component status automatically from the device. For this reason, the device information is displayed automatically. For devices that support automatic updates of the device component status, refer to "2.5 Monitoring Device Component Status".
For devices that do not support automatic updates of the device component status, this product acquires the device status automatically from the device, but does not acquire the device component status automatically. For this reason, when an Error or Warning level event is reported or when the status of the storage system is recovered, update the status of the corresponding storage system element manually.
The device status of the device in which a trouble is occurred is updated automatically.
