The procedure to register the FC switch is as follows:
On the global navigation tab, click Network.
On the Action pane, click Discover under Switch.
The information input screen is displayed.
Enter the necessary information, and then click Discover.
The information registration screen is displayed.
Check the target switch checkbox.
Specify the FC switch information, and then click Register.
Point
First register the Principal switch and then register all the FC switches that make up the fabric.
If the Principal switch has not registered first or unknown, on completion of registration of all the FC switches making up the fabric, perform "10.8 Reload FC Switch Configuration Information" on all the FC switches making up the fabric.
For the FC switch, register the FC switch after enabling the SSH connection of the FC switch.
Note
If the FC switch is a dual stack device to which both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are configured, register either of the two addresses.
Insure that the URL for the Management Software is in one of the following formats. If it is not then an unexpected action is done.
