Virtual Volumes cannot be created/changed/deleted from Web Console. Refer to the VMware vCenter Server manuals and perform the operation.
However, Virtual Volumes where the management information (metadata) is broken can be deleted from Web Console.
The procedure to display the Virtual Volumes is as follows:
To view a list of Virtual Volumes created in a specific VVOL datastore
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
On the Category pane, click VVOL Management.
The VVOL datastore list is displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, click the VVOL datastore that the Virtual Volume has been created.
On the Main pane, click the Virtual Volume tab.
The list of Virtual Volumes that are created in the selected VVOL datastore is displayed.
Check whether the Virtual Volumes that have been created with VMware vCenter Server are displayed.
To view a list of Virtual Volumes created in all the VVOL datastores
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
On the Category pane, click VVOL Management.
On the Category pane, click VVOL List.
The list of Virtual Volumes that are created in all the VVOL datastores is displayed on the Main pane.
Check whether the Virtual Volumes that have been created with VMware vCenter Server are displayed.
Virtual Volumes where the management information (metadata) is broken are displayed as "Unknown" in the VVOL Type column in the Volume List screen of Web Console and can be deleted using the same procedure for FTVs. Refer to "9.14.23 Delete FTV" for information on how to delete the Virtual Volume which "Unknown" is displayed in the VVOL Type column.
