The procedure to create a Tier pool for configuring the VVOL datastore or Clone backup VVOL datastore is as follows:
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
On the Category pane, click VVOL Management.
The VVOL datastore list is displayed on the Main pane.
On the Action pane, click Create or Create (One Layer) under Tier Pool.
Click Create if you use the Automated Storage Tiering function, and click Create (One Layer) if you do not use that function.
The Select Disk Array page is displayed.
Select the ETERNUS Disk storage system for creating the Tier pool, and then click Next.
The information input screen is displayed.
Refer to "9.14.7 Create Tier Pool" to enter the necessary information, and then click Next.
The information confirmation screen is displayed. Confirm the information, and then click Create.

Tier pools that are created by the above-described operation can be confirmed in the Tier pools list screen of Automated Storage Tiering. Refer to "9.14.8 Display Tier Pool" for information on how to display the Tier pools list screen.
