The procedure to register the Dedicated Hot Spare disk is as follows:
On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, click the target ETERNUS Disk storage system.
On the Category pane, click Component.
The items of the Category pane change into the items concerning the component.
On the Category pane, click Disks.
The disk list is displayed on the Main pane.
On the Main pane, check the disk checkbox to register as Dedicated Hot Spare disk, selecting disks which are suitable for the storage device to be used.
On the Action pane, click Assign Dedicated HS under Hot Spare.
The information input screen is displayed.
RAID Groups are displayed on the Register RAID Group. Select a RAID Group radio button, and then click Assign.
