9.7.4 Delete Reserved Volume or Forcible Delete/Format Volume

The procedure to delete the reserved volume, the procedure to delete a volume forcibly, and the procedure to format a volume are as follows:

  1. On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
    The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.

  2. On the Main pane, click the target ETERNUS Disk storage system.

  3. On the Category pane, click Volume.
    The volume list is displayed on the Main pane.

  4. On the Main pane, check the target volume checkbox.

  5. Perform the following procedures according to the operation purpose.

    For Deleting Reserved Volume
    1. On the Action pane, click Reserve Delete under Volume.
      The information confirmation screen is displayed.

    2. Confirm the information, and then click Reserve Delete.

    For Deleting Volume forcibly
    1. On the Action pane, click Force Delete under Volume.
      The information confirmation screen is displayed.

    2. Confirm the information, and then click Force Delete.

    For Formatting Volume
    1. On the Action pane, click Format under Volume.
      The information confirmation screen is displayed.

    2. Confirm the information, and then click Format.

Note

In Web Console, the following operations cannot be performed:

  • Reserve deletion of Snap Data Pool Volume

  • Format of LUN concatenated volume

  • Format of Wide Striping Volume

  • Format of Virtual Volume
