9.1.4 Change ETERNUS Disk Storage System Information

The procedure to change the registered ETERNUS Disk storage system information is as follows:

  1. On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
    The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.

  2. On the Main pane, check the target ETERNUS Disk storage system checkbox.

  3. On the Action pane, click Modify under Storage.
    The information input screen is displayed.

  4. Enter the necessary information, and then click Modify.

Note

  • This procedure does not include instructions for:

    • Changing any registered IPv4 address to IPv6 address

    • Changing any registered IPv6 address to IPv4 address

    To change the IP address version of any registered ETERNUS Disk storage system, delete the registered ETERNUS Disk storage system first and then register the ETERNUS Disk storage system again. When Automated Storage Tiering is used, including the case that one layer Tier pool function is used, perform the procedure of "Change IP Address of Target Device" in the Storage Cruiser Operation Guide for Optimization Function after re-registering the storage device.

  • To automatically update the device component status, enable the "SNMP Trap destination address automatic setting" function by checking the SNMP Trap Setting checkbox. For devices that support automatic updates of the device component status, refer to "Monitoring Device Component Status" in the Storage Cruiser Operation Guide.
