To operate a system using licenses that include "Downgradable to V16.9 or higher" in their name (hereinafter referred to as "version 16.9 or later licenses"), an operation environment of version 16.9 or later is required. In operation environments of version 16.8 or earlier, the version 16.9 or later licenses cannot be used.
If the existing operation environment is version 16.8 or earlier and the version 16.9 or later license is used, perform one of the following procedures to configure the operation environment with version 16.9 or later.
Upgrading the existing operation environment to version 16.9 or later
Upgrade the manager program and all the agent programs in the existing operation environment to version 16.9 or later.
If necessary, register the devices to be managed by the version 16.9 or later licenses to the upgraded operation environment.
Register the version 16.9 or later licenses to the upgraded operation environment.
Information
The licenses that are used in the previous operation environment remain usable after the upgrade. The licenses do not need to be re-registered.
Configuring a new operation environment separately from the existing operation environment
The following shows the procedure when a manager program or agent program in the existing operation environment cannot be upgraded to version 16.9 or later.
Configure a new operation environment in which the version of the manager program and all the agent programs is 16.9 or later separately from the existing operation environment.
Register the devices to be managed by the version 16.9 or later licenses to the operation environment of version 16.9 or later.
Register the version 16.9 or later licenses to the operation environment of version 16.9 or later.
