The following functions are provided. Refer to the Storage Cruiser for Optimization Function for details.
A Virtual Volume that is available on a per VMware virtual machine basis can be used as an Automated QoS enabled volume.
When using Automated QoS Priority and Tune by Quota Share concurrently, in version 16.1 or earlier, a quota capacity ratio was required to be set in the FTV. However, in version 16.2, the Automated QoS function determines the status of the quota ratio automatically.
Therefore, when creating or changing the FTV, setting the quota capacity ratio is not required.
When using Automated QoS Priority, in version 16.1 or earlier, the benchmark of target performance was determined based on the current sub-pool quota share. However, in version 16.2, the quota share is determined according to Automated QoS Priority, by tuning to the I/O performance desired by the users.
When using Automated QoS Priority, in version 16.1 or earlier, the QoS achievement rate graph calculated and displayed the ratio of the measured values to the most up to date target response time that is automatically calculated by the Automated QoS function. However, in version 16.2, the target response time of the moment data is collected is regarded as comparative data.
Therefore, the achievement rate that reflects the status of the data collection time is displayed.
The upper limit for the sum of FTVs in all the storage systems that enable the Automated QoS function is expanded from 600 to 1,800.
