In this configuration, there is one node on standby for multiple active nodes.

The following figure shows the node configuration of this type as an example.
Node A and Node C are active nodes, and Node B is the standby node. Node B is on standby in case error occurs with either Node A or Node C.
The N:1 active/standby configuration has the following features and precautions:
Features
Standby costs are low because there is only one standby node. Processing performance is guaranteed if one of the active nodes fails.
Precautions
If error occurs with more than one active node, the standby node can only take over jobs from the first active node that failed.
