13.2 Duplicating the Network Job Execution Server

To duplicate the network job execution server, the following definitions are required.

Specifying the secondary execution server

When duplicating a network job execution server, the primary and secondary execution servers must be defined in one of the following three methods. When duplicating execution server, you may not use execution subsystem name as the primary and secondary host name.

For details on the Add/Change-Job window and the Job Net Properties window, see "4.2.3 Registering Job Nets," "4.2.4 Registering Jobs," and "4.2.5 Job Net Information Settings".

The following describes how to define the primary and secondary execution servers using the jobschsetnet command.

Procedure

  1. Specify the primary and secondary execution servers using the req_host operand of the job control statement or the defaulthost operand of the job net control statement. Specify in the form of "primary host name, secondary host name."

  2. Specify either a -nent operand, a -nche operand or -ncheall operand to execute the jobschsetnet command. Specify the file name having the job control statement or the job net control statement edited in Step 1 in the definition file.

For details on the jobschsetnet command, job control statements and job net control statements, see the "Jobscheduler Commands" section of the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide.
