The system administrator (the user belonging to the Administrators group in the Windows system, or the superuser in the UNIX system) can carry out the following operations to queues.
Pausing queues
Releasing queue pausing
Temporarily changing definitions
Procedure
Selecting the queue to be operated
Select Queue from the Job Selection window of the Systemwalker Operation Manager window. The Display/Operate Queue Status window will appear in the main window. In this window, select the queue to be operated.

Operating the queue
Operate as follows.
Select Pause from the Queue Operation of the File menu (or select Pause from the Queue Operation pop-up menu displayed by right-clicking).
Select Start from the Queue Operation of the File menu (or select Start from the Queue Operation pop-up menu displayed by right-clicking).
Select Change from the Queue Operation of the File menu (or select Change from the Queue Operation pop-up menu displayed by right-clicking) to display the Change Queue Definition Temporarily dialog box.
In the Change Queue Definition Temporarily dialog box, the definition items shown below can be temporarily changed in response to situations such as a job execution delay caused by the congestion of the executing queue. The attributes of the temporarily changed queue will be retained until the Job Execution Control is restarted in the initialization mode.

It is also possible to operate the queues from the server. To operate the queues from the server, use the qstop (stop queue), qstart (release queue pausing) and qalter (temporarily change) commands. For details of each command, see the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide.
