Relationship between job status and operations
The following table shows the operations that can and cannot be carried out for each scheduled job status.
If the job status is Execution held or Output held, the jobs which have been held by the administrator can only be released by the administrator.
Note
Operating network jobs
If you have requested another server to execute a network job, control this job from the server that submitted it, not the execution server. If you control it from the execution server, the results are unpredictable.
Information
Job operation on the server
It is also possible to operate the jobs from the server. To operate the jobs from the server, use the qhold (hold execution), qrls (release), qmove (move execution queue), qdel (delete job) and qjalter (change job information) commands. For details of each command, see the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide.
Note
Job operations if the Operation Manager user has been specified (in UNIX system)
If the Extended User Management function is valid and if the Operation Manager user is specified in the User Name, he or she can operate the job with the authority of the OS user who has been assigned to that Operation Manager user. In addition to the specified Operation Manager user, the job information of all Operation Manager users associated with the OS users is displayed. The users can operate the displayed job information.
