The job net information (standard information, message information, and startup day information) can be changed as necessary. This section describes the job net information that can be changed. For procedure and cautions on changing the job net information, see "4.2.5 Job Net Information Settings".
Standard information
Changes standard information on the job net including the job net comment, the execution conditions (None/Execute at/Execution interval/Start at the time of server startup/Start only when message event has occurred), the name of the host submitting the jobs in the job net, etc.
The job net name cannot be changed in the Standard information sheet of the Job Net Properties window. To change the job net name, duplicate the job net and save it with a different name, and then delete the original job net.
For child and master linked job nets, the Execution condition cannot be changed to any settings other than None.
Message Information
Adds or deletes the message events (generated by the jobschmsgevent command) to wait for as the startup timings of job nets. The job net execution conditions for situations where message events are issued are also changed here.
Startup Days Information
Changes the basic startup schedules (or startup days) for job nets. The startup days can be specified by either of the following two methods. Use each method to change the settings.
Change in the Startup days sheet of the Job Net Properties window.
Change (fine tune) using the Startup Days window or Startup Days (Preview) window.
Note
When changing the execution condition to None
If you have set the Execution condition and if you set this Execution condition to None, all the settings made in the Message sheet of the Job Net Properties window are cleared.
Note
Changing the job net information after message events have occurred
Changes made to the job net information clear any message events that have already occurred. These message events must be reissued once the job net information is changed.
However, message events that have occurred will not be cleared when only the following information is changed:
Standard information sheet >> Job net comment, Startup on power-on if power is off during scheduled execution, Start at the time of server startup >> Once in a day, Default host name
Note
Changing the job net information if its scheduled time has passed
If the startup conditions are not satisfied when the scheduled time is reached and if the information of a non-started job net is changed, the job nets are rescheduled and the next scheduled time is set for them. (The previous scheduled time is cleared.)
If the startup conditions are not satisfied when the scheduled time is reached and if the information of a group-internal job net is changed, the group is also rescheduled and the next scheduled time is set for them. (The previous scheduled time is cleared.)
Note
Changes to information when job was abended
If the job information is changed, the status of all jobs in the job net is set to "Waiting" using Change Job Net window. In this case, the job net restarts from the first job.
Note
Changes to the startup days, calendar, or operation period information
When the startup day, calendar or operation period information for a job net (that uses a calendar with a reschedule date setting) is changed using the Startup days sheet of the Job Net Properties window before the reschedule date comes, the reschedule data setting in the Save Calendar window becomes invalid and the information changed in the Job Net Properties window becomes valid.
Also note that the above change will affect on all the job nets that are using this startup day if the job net to be changed is the base job net.
Note
Changing linked job nets
Job net information for linked job nets, and job nets at levels below the linked job nets, cannot be changed. To change the job net information for a linked job net, change the master linked job net that the linked job net refers to.
Information
Changing the startup days of child job nets
The startup days of child job nets can be changed even when the parent job net is started. The change is effective from the next startup unless the job net confirmation operation is enabled and the parent job net is abended.
