7.4.3 Settings After Backing Up

This section explains about the settings to be done after backing up the system disk.

When the shared class or local class of GDS is used, perform the following settings regardless of whether the system disk is mirrored by GDS.

[Setting procedure]

  1. Undo the configuration parameter setting of GDS.
Comment out the line of SDX_DB_FAIL_NUM=0 in the /etc/opt/FJSVsdx/sdx.cf configuration file.

    # vim /etc/opt/FJSVsdx/sdx.cf
    ...
    # SDX_DB_FAIL_NUM=0
  2. When using mirroring among servers function, undo the automatic startup setting of RMS.

2-1. If the setting to restrict automatic startup of RMS is done in "7.4.1 Settings Before Backing Up," set the automatic startup of RMS.

    # hvsetenv HV_RCSTART 1
    # hvsetenv HV_RCSTART
    1

    2-2. Start up RMS.
