An archive is a copy of the datastore and the used capacity of each archive is about the same as the used datastore capacity when that archive is created.
Up to 4000 archives can be created, but the total capacity, which consists of the datastore capacity and used archive capacity of all the archives, cannot exceed the maximum capacity specified in the license.
