H.4.2 Supported Device for Guest Domain

The following virtual device only can be specified in AdvancedCopy Manager for Guest Domain:

Point

Connect a virtual device specified for AdvancedCopy Manager to the Guest Domain using the Virtual Disk Services in the Control Domain or the I/O Root Domain. Allocate the entire LU to Virtual Disk Services.

Device Type

Specifiable Device Name

Virtual device

Specify the device name that has been registered as a virtual disk using Virtual Disk Services (vds).
The format used to specify a device name is as follows:

/dev/dsk/cXdXsX
Example: /dev/dsk/c0d2s0

The format used to specify the LUN with EFI label is as follows:

/dev/dsk/cXdX
Example: /dev/dsk/c0d2

Virtual device (MPLB resources)

Specify the device name that has been set as an MPLB resource on the Guest Domain.
The format used to specify a device name is as follows:

/dev/FJSVmplb/[r]dsk/mplb*s*
Example: /dev/FJSVmplb/dsk/mplb0s6

Refer to the ETERNUS Multipath Driver (Oracle Solaris Version) Installation Information for information on how to specify MPLB resources for the Guest Domain.

SDX objects of PRIMECLUSTER GD

Names of devices that are operating in units of slices can be specified.
The format used to specify a device name is as follows:

/dev/sfdsk/<class-name>/dsk/<volume-name>:<DEVNAM-value-of-sdxinfo>
Example: /dev/sfdsk/class1/dsk/volume1:mplb0

Refer to "1.4.2 SDX Objects of PRIMECLUSTER GD" for details on device names.

Names of devices that are operating in units of logical volumes are not supported.
