This section describes the procedure for backing up/restoring the ZFS file system by using the Storage Cluster Continuous Copy function.
The backup/restore procedure that uses the Storage Cluster Continuous Copy function is the same as for non-TFOVs. Refer to "Appendix G Backup and Restoration of ZFS File Systems" for details.
Note
Storage Cluster must be configured in advance.
For a replication operation:
A configuration is performed for using AdvancedCopy Manager in advance according to "6.4 Preparations", however, configure Storage Cluster before "6.4.4 Fetching Device Information on Managed Server".
For AdvancedCopy Manager CCM operations:
A configuration is performed for using AdvancedCopy Manager in advance according to "Setup" in "Storage Cluster Continuous Copy Function" in the AdvancedCopy Manager Operation Guide for Copy Control Module, however, configure Storage Cluster before "Creating copy groups".
Refer to "Storage Cluster Function" in the Storage Cruiser Operation Guide for information on how to set up the Storage Cluster environment.
The following methods are supported for the ZFS file system backup/restore using the Storage Cluster Continuous Copy function.
7.7.1 Online Backup Using ZFS Snapshot with AdvancedCopy Manager Function
7.7.2 Online Backup Using ZFS Snapshot with ZFS Uses zfs send and zfs receive Commands
Refer to "G.1.2 Backup Methods" for details about each method.
