4.6 ETERNUS CS800 S7/CS800 S6/CS800 S5/CS800 S4/CS800 S3/CS800 S2/CS800 De-dupe Appliance

This software supports fault management (SNMP Trap monitoring only) for the ETERNUS CS800 S7/CS800 S6/CS800 S5/CS800 S4/CS800 S3/CS800 S2/CS800.

1. Connecting to the network

   Perform the setup for connecting the device to the network. Refer to the manuals of the device for details on how to perform the setup.

2. SNMP Trap setting

   Perform the setup of the SNMP Trap transmission destination for the device so that SNMP Traps of the device can be transmitted to the Management Server. If the Management Server is operated in a cluster configuration, set the logical IP address of the cluster as the destination.

3. Registering the device

   Refer to "5.2.7 Registering Manually Embedded Device" for registering the device.
   Specify the IP address of the device during the registration operation.
