This section explains how to cancel VIOM/ISM coordination.
To delete registered profiles, follow the procedure described in "5.1.1 Registering Profiles" to open the Web interface of ServerView Virtual-IO Manager or ServerView Infrastructure Manager and delete the desired profiles from there.
Use the following procedure to cancel VIOM/ISM coordination:
In the ROR console management software tree, right-click the target management software (VIOM/ISM), and select [Delete] from the popup menu.
The [Delete Resource] dialog is displayed.
Click the [OK] button.
The target management software (VIOM/ISM) is deleted.
Note
Coordination with VIOM/ISM cannot be canceled in the following cases.
When there are spare server settings involving the profile switchover method
When there are servers using the profile switchover method that are in the following states
Being switched over
Have been switched over (prior to failback)
Being failed back
Server blades that are managed using VIOM, and are currently the target of operations by Resource Orchestrator (power control, image-related processes, etc.)
Physical L-Servers have been deployed for rack mount servers that are managed using VIOM or ISM, and VIOM or ISM profiles have been allocated
When physical L-Servers have not been deployed, if profiles are left assigned when VIOM/ISM coordination is canceled, the MAC addresses of the target rack mount servers remain with I/O virtualization. When using rack mount servers, VIOM/ISM profiles need to be unassigned before canceling VIOM coordination.
When a DHCP server was specified during registration of ISM coordination, even if ISM coordination is canceled, the simplified DHCP service for Resource Orchestrator will not be enabled.
For this reason, either use the DHCP service that was enabled during registration of ISM coordination, or restore the simplified DHCP service for Resource Orchestrator by uninstalling and then reinstalling the manager.
