Use the following procedure to configure profiles:
Select Management Software (VIOM/ISM) from the ROR console, and then select the [Resource Details] tab.
In General of the [Resource Details] tab, click the link for the Management software.
The Web UI of the selected management software will start.
Register the servers managed by Resource Orchestrator in the management software.
For details, refer to the manuals of ServerView Virtual-IO Manager or ServerView Infrastructure Manager.
Note
It not is possible for multiple servers using different I/O virtualization methods to coexist in the same chassis.
Configuration of ISM profiles is only supported for use in I/O virtualization. Do not configure any other ISM profile settings.
When using backup and restore or cloning, prioritize the following two boot operations:
Boot from the first admin LAN network interface (NIC1 (Index1))
Boot from the network interface used by the admin LAN (NIC2 (Index2))
When not using the onboard LAN of rack mount and tower servers as the admin LAN, refer to "7.1.6 Configuration when Creating a Physical L-Server without Specifying a Model Name in the L-Server Template" in the "Setup Guide CE".
