5.1 Registering VIOM/ISM Coordination

This section explains how to register management software (VIOM/ISM).

Registering VIOM Coordination

Use the following procedure to register management software (VIOM):

1. From the ROR console menu, select [Settings]-[Register]-[Management Software (VIOM)].

   The [Register Management Software(VIOM)] dialog is displayed.

2. Configure the following items:

   User ID

   Enter the ID of a VIOM user account.

   Password

   Enter the password of the above VIOM user account.

3. Click the [OK] button.

   
   

Registering ISM Coordination

Use the following procedure to register management software (ISM):

1. From the ROR console menu, select [Settings]-[Register]-[Management Software (ISM)].

   The [Register Management Software(ISM)] dialog is displayed.

2. Configure the following items:

   IP address

   Specify the IP address of the ISM server.

   Port number

   Specify the port number used by the ISM server (25566 by default).

   User ID

   Enter the ID of an ISM user account.
   Specify the user IDs of the users with administrator privileges on all servers managed using ISM.

   Password

   Enter the password of the above ISM user account.

   DHCP server IP address

   Specify the IP address of the DHCP server to use in Resource Orchestrator and ISM.
   This item can be omitted when not using PXE boot in ISM.
   For details, refer to the manuals of ServerView Infrastructure Manager.

3. Click the [OK] button.
