9.1.12 esfast tierpool setaddress (Storage Device IP Address Change Command)

NAME

esfast tierpool setaddress - changing the IP address information of a storage device

SYNOPSIS

esfast tierpool setaddress -oldaddress oldIpAddr -newaddress newIpAddr [-s]

COMMAND PATH

Windows Environment

$INS_DIR\AST\Manager\opt\FJSVssast\sbin\esfast tierpool setaddress

($INS_DIR is the "Program directory" when ETERNUS SF Manager has been installed.)

Solaris or Linux Environment

/opt/FJSVssast/sbin/esfast tierpool setaddress

DESCRIPTION

The IP address information of the storage device that the Optimization option is holding is changed.
In order to execute the command, the administrator privilege of the OS is required.

OPERANDS

setaddress

Change the IP address of the storage device that holds a Tier pool.

OPTIONS

Options of "setaddress" Operand

-oldaddress oldIpAddr

Specify the storage device pre-change IP address.

-newaddress newIpAddr

Specify the storage device post-change IP address.

-s

The process is continued without the output of a confirmation message.

EXIT STATUS

=0: End

NOTES

• Refer to "8.5 Check of Start of ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Optimization Option Service/Daemon" to make sure that the service or daemon is started.
  If not, the command terminates abnormally.

• The following notes apply when specifying an IP address in the option.

  • You cannot specify multiple addresses or use wildcards.

  • When specifying an Ipv6 address, be sure to specify a global address.
