Automatic tuning constantly changes the bandwidth with the Automated QoS function because the I/O for the volume is constantly fluctuating. If you want to fix the bandwidth at the point where the the business application I/O performance target is achieved, stop the Automated QoS function.
Stopping of the Automated QoS function is performed through Web Console or Command Line Interface. Refer to "Enable/Disable Automated QoS Function" in the ETERNUS SF Web Console Guide for information on how to stop the Automated QoS function when using Web Console. When using commands, execute the esfadm storage qosset command.
Even if the measured response time does not reach the target response time, the target performance of the business application may be satisfied. In this case, if the target response time is set to the value of the measured response time at that moment, automatic tuning is performed to bring the response time of the business application closer to the target performance when the I/O load is changed.
