Check whether the performance objectives for the application have been achieved in the performance graph screen. If the performance objectives have been achieved for the application, the following measures are unnecessary. If the performance objectives have not been achieved for the application, raise the priority level or the target response time in order to improve the measured response time for the target FTV, and carry out automatic adjustments for a while (if the performance monitoring interval is one minute, it takes approximately 15 minutes).
For the procedure to display a performance graph, refer to "Display Performance Information Graph" or "Display FTV Performance Information Graph" in the ETERNUS SF Web Console Guide.
When Checking Whether or not Response Time that was Requested to Business Application is Satisfied
Check with the following procedure whether or not the response time that was requested by the business application is satisfied.
Check the measured response time for the Automated QoS target volume
Display and check the measured response time performance graph with the following procedure.
Click Response Time from a drop-down list for performance information and Click Read+Write.
Click Plot.
Compare the measured response time with the target response time
When the measured response time is within the target response time
The volume has attained the target.
When the measurement response time has indicated a constant value more greatly since the target response time
Tuning by Automated QoS function may be at the edge of its capabilities. (This can be addressed by following "7.2 Tuning of Performance Target".)
Point
Check the target achievement from the response times for each FTV. When checking multiple FTVs simultaneously, check with the QoS target achievement rate.
When Checking Whether or not Performance Objective that was Set has been Achieved
Check whether or not the target value (when the Automated QoS Priority is set, the target value that was calculated internally, or the target response time that was set) has been achieved with the following procedure.
Check the QoS achievement rate
Check the QoS achievement rate in a performance graph. The QoS achievement rate is the ratio of the current target response time to the weighted average of Read response time and Write response time.
Click QoS achievement rate from a drop-down list for performance information.
Click Plot.
Check that the QoS achievement rate that is displayed is 100% or more
If QoS achievement rate is 100% or more:
The volume performance has attained the target.
If QoS achievement rate is less than 100% and shows a certain value:
Tuning by Automated QoS function may be at the edge of its capabilities. ( This can be addressed by following "7.2 Tuning of Performance Target".)
