Check whether or not the performance goal for the Automated QoS function is achieved.
When Checking with FTV Overview Screen
See the QoS Available Volume column on the FTV Overview screen.
When Checking with Commands
Execute the esfadm volume qosinfo command and check the "TUNING STATUS" column in the command output.
Process based on the value of the following confirmation results:
In case of "Attaining":
A performance target for the Automated QoS function has been attained, so that no action is required.
On completion of performance tuning, it is also possible to stop the Automated QoS function and continue to operate. Refer to "7.3 Fixing Bandwidth after Automatic Tuning" for details.
In case of "Working":
Performance is being tuned toward the target, so wait for some time (if the performance monitoring interval is one minute, it takes approximately 15 minutes) and check the Tuning Status column again.
In case of "Not Attaining":
In the adjustment of Automated QoS, a performance target could not be attained. Any of the following actions is needed to attain the target:
If the setting of Tune by Quota Share is "Off", set it to "On".
Lower the priority of the volume that the resource competes.
If the target cannot be attained despite the lowered priority of contending volumes, review the volume configuration. An explanation of volume configuration review is in "7.2 Tuning of Performance Target".
Point
The time for the previous automatic tuning can be confirmed from the "SET TIME" column of the esfadm volume qosinfo command or from the FTV Overview Set Time column. If automatic tuning has never been performed in the past, instead of a time and date, a hyphen (-) is displayed. For contending volumes, "Stopping" may be displayed. This indicates that tuning by Automated QoS is not being performed.
