14.1.2 Event linkage Based on Event Log Output

Take the following steps for event linkage based on event log output.

Settings of Systemwalker Centric Manager

Set Systemwalker Centric Manager to be auditing the PC event log installed with CS and DS. Refer to Systemwalker Centric Manager Manual for settings method.

Settings of Systemwalker Desktop Patrol

Initial value after installation of Systemwalker Desktop Patrol is set to be log output of all kinds of events. The file will be edited and defined when changing output of the event log.

Remarks: source name of event log is "DTPServer".

Edit the definition file under CS or DS.

Auditing method

Source name of the event log output from Systemwalker Desktop Patrol is set to be "DTPServer". The event log with source name of "DTPServer" will be audited in Systemwalker Centric Manager.
