This section explains how to delete network devices.
Use the following procedure to delete a network device.
The Procedure Using the ROR Console
In the ROR console network device tree, right-click the target network device and select [Delete] from the popup menu.
The [Delete Resource] dialog is displayed.
Click the [OK] button.
The target network device is deleted from the network device tree.
The Procedure From the Command Line
Use the rcxadm netdevice delete command.
See
For details on the rcxadm netdevice command, refer to "3.8 rcxadm netdevice" in the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE".
Note
The network devices already deployed to an L-Platform cannot be deleted.
When no information is displayed in the line of "AllocatedResources[XXX]:" after executing the rcxadm netdevice show command, it shows that the network device has not been deployed to the L-Platform.
For details on the rcxadm netdevice show command, refer to "3.8 rcxadm netdevice" in the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE".
Ethernet Fabrics (Converged Fabric) that have more virtual fabrics than the limit (100) registered cannot be deleted.
Execute the rcxadm netdevice show command, and if num in "VFAB[num]:" is 99 or less, it can be determined that less virtual fabrics than the limit (100) are registered with the relevant Ethernet Fabric (Converged Fabric).
As a result of check, if the number of registered virtual fabrics exceeds the limit (100), specify "delete" for registration mode of VFAB in the network configuration information (XML definition), and use the rcxadm netdevice modify command to delete VFABs.
Confirm that the number of registered virtual fabrics is under the limit (100), and then delete the Ethernet Fabric (Converged Fabric) again.
