This section explains how to register the management software necessary for managing Converged Fabric when using ServerView Fabric Manager.
When registering the ServerView Fabric Manager as Converged Fabric management software, use the Windows manager. Other managers cannot be registered.
Use the following procedure to configure management software (Converged Fabric) settings:
From the ROR console menu, select [Settings]-[Register]-[Management Software(SVFAB)].
The [Register Management Software(SVFAB)] dialog is displayed.
Define the following settings:
Enter the name of the target Converged Fabric management software.
Enter a character string beginning with an alphabetical character and containing up to 15 alphanumeric characters and hyphens ("-").
Click the [OK] button.
The registered Converged Fabric management software will be displayed in the management software tree.
Note
When starting the ServerView Fabric Manager window from the [Management Software] tab in the ROR console, in order to perform Single Sign-On authentication it is necessary to configure the Single Sign-On function of ServerView Operations Manager.
Appropriate roles must be allocated to users.
