8.7.8 [OS] Tab Configuration

Enter the parameters to set for the OS when creating the L-Server.

In L-Server creation, perform settings to start the non-global zone.

For Oracle Solaris Zones, only the following parameters are reflected.

Do not specify the value, as the value will not be set for the items for which entry is not required.

Enter the host name.

Enter a character string containing up to 21 alphanumeric characters and hyphens ("-").
Hyphens ("-") cannot be specified for the first or last characters.

If this parameter is not specified, the L-Server name is converted and set as indicated above.
If underscores ("_") or periods (".") are used in an L-Server name, they will be replaced with hyphens ("-"), because these characters cannot be used for host names or computer names.

[Solaris Zones (Solaris 10)]
When creating multiple NICs in the host name of the non-global zone, the second and later NICs will be configured in the following format:

Specified host name-sequential number

Administrator user name

[Solaris Zones (Solaris 11)]

Specify the administrator user name of the L-Server.

Enter a character string beginning with an alphabetic character and containing up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

If omitted, the value in the OS property definition file is configured. When the value is not specified in the OS property definition file, "root" is configured. (*2)

Administrator password

Specify the administrator password for the L-Server.

Enter the password using between 1 and 255 alphanumeric characters or symbols.

If omitted, the value in the OS property definition file is configured. (*2)

Enter the password using between 1 and 255 alphanumeric characters or symbols.

Time zone

Specify the time zone of the OS.

System locale

C (default value for the SC profile)

OS operations corresponding to value configured for the administrator user name are as follow.

Administrator User Name

A root user is created.
The password is configured using the value specified for the administrator password.

A user with the specified administrator user name is created.
The password is configured using the value specified for the administrator password.

The root role is created.
The password for the root role is configured using the value specified for Root role password.

OS Property Definition File

By setting the default values in an OS property definition file in advance, the default values of the information on the [OS] tab, etc. are generated when creating an L-Server.
