7.16.28 Display Antivirus Information

The procedure to display the antivirus information is as follows:

  1. On the global navigation tab, click Storage.
    The registered ETERNUS Disk storage systems are displayed on the Main pane.

  2. On the Main pane, click the target ETERNUS Disk storage system.

  3. On the Category pane, click NAS Management.
    The items of the Category pane change into the items concerning the NAS Management.

  4. On the Category pane, click Anti-Virus.

  5. The antivirus server list is displayed on the Main pane. When switching the tabs on the Main pane, displays the information below.

    Tab Name

    Description

    Anti-Virus Server

    Displays activation code information and a list of antivirus servers.

    Clicking on the antivirus server number displays detailed information for the antivirus server.

    Log

    Displays virus detection and antivirus server event logs.

Point

In the Status column that is displayed in the antivirus server information in the Anti-Virus Server tab, the following statuses are displayed.

Status

Explanation

Normal

The antivirus server is in a normal state.

If the antivirus function is enabled, virus scans and process are performed automatically.

Warning

The antivirus server is in an abnormal state but is usable.
This status is displayed in the following cases:

  • One of the 2 CMs cannot communicate.

  • The pattern file has not been updated in two or more days.

  • The scan engine is not up-to-date.

In this situation, check the following points:

  • Is there a problem with network?

  • Has the activation code expired or is the automatic update for the pattern file disabled?

  • Was the antivirus software restarted after updating the scan engine?

Error

Abnormalities have occurred in the antivirus server and cannot be used.
This status is displayed in the following case:

  • Neither of the 2 CMs can communicate.

In this situation, check the following points:

  • Is there a problem with network?

  • Is the antivirus server running?
