I.2.1 For Windows(R) XP / Windows Vista or later / Windows Server 2008 or later

Considering Remote Desktop connections, session conditions of Windows(R) XP, Windows Vista or later, Windows Server 2008 or later can be classified as follows.


Session Condition and Scenario

(1)

Logged on to the server locally.

(2)

Switched to another account by using Fast User Switching feature. (*1)

(3)

  • With a Remote Desktop connection, connected to the server on which no user has logged on, and logged on to it.

  • With a Remote Desktop connection, connected to the server on which one or more users have already logged on, and logged on to it using a user account other than the logged in users.

(4)

With a Remote Desktop connection, connected to the server on which a user has locally logged on, and logged on to it using the same user account as the logged in user.

*1 If you switch to another user by using Fast User Switching feature, the session condition of the first logged in user will be the condition (1), and which of the next logged in user will be the condition (2).

Depends on the session condition, you can or cannot run Live Help applications as follows.

You can run the program.

Your attempt to run the program will result in an error message indicating that you cannot run the program on the session.

*2 If you run a Live Help Monitor application on a session with condition (2) or condition (3) and change the settings of it, the Live Help Monitor will not save the changed settings. (The changes will only be valid until you close that Live Help Monitor application.)

*3 Starting can be done normally. However, if it connects from Live Help Expert/Monitor, the dialog "Screen Transfer Suspended" is displayed and it cannot connect. Therefore, please do not start in this state.
