This section explains activities on the Live Help Client program that can be restricted by Live Help Security Setup command.

Client Setup program
An approved or unknown user can run Client Setup program and change the Client software's configuration accidentally or intentionally.
By using Live Help Security Setup command, you can restrict users from changing the configuration of Live Help Client program, as follows.

Note
By default, the access control is disabled.
If you change the access control setting while the Live Help Client program is running, the new setting will take effect when you restart the program.
You can change the running method of Live Help Client only when you started Client Setup program using a user with administrative privileges because to change the running method you must change the settings of a Windows(R) service. Therefore, you cannot change the running method when you started Client Setup program with a user who doesn't have administrative privileges, regardless of the security setting for Client Setup program.
Session Journal Setup program
Session Journal is a feature used to record key session events that occur when using Live Help Client, Expert and Monitor. Events recorded include all session-related functions and file operations.
By using Live Help Security Setup command, you can restrict users from changing the configuration of Session Journal for Live Help Client program, as follows.
