The ability to connect to more than one machine running the Live Help Client software is the primary feature that separates the Monitor application from the Live Help Expert application. In order to establish multiple sessions, simply start multiple copies of Monitor by selecting its shortcut from the Fujitsu Live Help folder on the Start menu or the Apps screen.
Each copy of Monitor that is started will have its own window accompanied by its own menus and toolbar. Since the Live Help Monitor application can be started multiple times, its toolbar always starts in an attached position. You can still float the toolbar during sessions but the next time Monitor is started, the toolbar will be attached to the Live Help Monitor window.
In order to avoid confusion, you can use a management feature of the Windows(R) user interface to cascade or tile the multiple copies of Monitor. To accomplish this, perform the following steps:
Click with the right mouse button on the Windows(R) taskbar (if your taskbar is hidden, position your mouse cursor at the bottom of the screen to unhide it).
A popup menu will appear. From this menu you can either choose to cascade or tile all currently open windows. This will help organize the currently running Live Help Monitors.
Note
This feature will cascade or tile ALL application windows currently on your desktop. If you do not wish to have other application windows tiled along with Monitor, close those applications before performing this function.
When using Monitor to track multiple computers running the Client application, you will want to be sure that you see the entire contents of the incoming screen. Therefore, it is usually beneficial to take advantage of Live Help's Scale Screen function (refer to the section Scale Screen View in Screen Transfer for more information). This feature shrinks the incoming Client screen so that it will fit within the Live Help Monitor window. You can use this mode to monitor the Clients for any problems and then, should an issue arise, leave Scale Screen View and take Remote Control of the problem computer.
It is important to take note of floating toolbars when remotely controlling multiple clients. Support personnel who have several copies of Live Help Monitor running will notice that only the toolbar for the currently active Monitor window will display. This is designed to help avoid the confusion that would arise from several concurrent floating toolbars. As soon as a particular Live Help Monitor window is given the focus, its toolbar will once again become visible.
