9.1 Typing and Sending a Message

During a support session, it may not be possible to have a telephone conversation with a Client. For example, you may have a modem connection where only one telephone line is available and it is needed for the modem data. You can send a text message to the Client using Message Exchange.

Help Desk Personnel can also send text messages to each other using Message Exchange. This chat facility is useful for private side conversations or notes.

You can send the message to everyone or specific members. When the message arrives, the recipient can type a reply.

Note

The message exchange function is not available in sessions in instruction mode.
