Use Clipboard transfer to send the contents of your Clipboard to the Client, or receive the Client's Clipboard data. If another Specialist is in your session, you can also transfer your Clipboard to the Specialist.
Applications place information in the Clipboard in a number of ways. If you "cut" or "copy" a paragraph from a document, the paragraph is moved into the Clipboard. You can then "paste" the paragraph into another part of the document, or another application.
Clipboard transfer is useful in a number of situations. For example, you may want to examine a portion of a Client configuration file after the session ends. Rather than take a copy of the entire file with File Transfer, you would use Remote Control to copy the configuration lines into the Client Clipboard, and then use Clipboard transfer to receive the information. Once the data is in your Clipboard, you can paste it into any Windows(R) application or store it in a call-tracking database.
Clipboard Transfer stores the transferred data in the recipient's Clipboard.
Clipboard transfer is a great way to contribute data to a support session. The recipients can easily paste the transferred data using their word processor, spreadsheet application, drawing program, or other Windows(R) application.
